Weekend at Warnham LNR

21/3 - Plenty of bird activity around the reserve today, the heronry is now getting very busy with plenty of coming and going. Two Common Buzzards passed overhead and lots of Reed Buntings displaying. First sighting of this years young Rabbits was seen this morning, as I arrived in the carpark it was sitting on the gravel! I eventually managed to catch it and return it to the meadow. Over the millpond I caught sight of my first Swallow in front of the Tern Hide. And several baby rats seen around the feeding stations. A buck Roe Deer was showing well in Walnut Plantation early am.

22/3 - In total 4 Swallows seen this evening over the mill pond and 2 Sand Martins. Little Egret was seen once again, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull and displaying Great Crested Grebes were other highlights.
