Southwater Country Park

Plenty of birds around the reserve today with evidence of several species starting to set up territories. Robin, Dunnock, Song Thrush, Blackbird, Greenfinch, Chaffinch and Bullfinch all in full song around the park. A single Great Crested Grebe continues to call for a mate but to no avail. A single Cormorant flew over NE late afternoon and the Water Rail was seen in the usual spot by the boardwalk.
A Bank Vole made a brief appearance and 2 Dotted Border and a single March Moth made up other sightings.
