Arlington Reservoir


Finally managed to find myself some Turtle Doves (See picture above) although at a distance hence the poor photograph! Good to see a pair. Arlington usually has them at the reservoir but this is the lastest arrival I have recorded here. Seem to be a struggling species in Sussex.



Also found some 'Cuckoo Spit' which had developed enough to show exactly what it protects which is a single Aphrophoridae nymph (Spittle bug nymph). See the tiny red/brown eyes.
