Slaty-backed Gull - Rainham Marshes RSPB

Scene on Serin Mound
My second attempt at this first for Britain and managed to get away from work ealy enough to have another go. On arrival in the carpark the bird was reported as being on Wannington Marsh so I began the long walk/run along the sea wall I was about 200yds short when a helicoptor when over and flushed the entire lot...here we go again I thought! Luckily it was refound from the Serin Mound and showed well but distant. What a bird...an absolute brute!
