Met with Sam after he had a lay-in at 8am and we quickly got the nets up and the four Potter Traps out. It wasn't long before we started catching a few finches coming to the Nyger feeder I put up in one of the rides. Two new species were ringed at the site today; Goldfinch and Lesser Redpoll. Southwater certainly is proving a good ringing venue. Another two Moorhens caught in the Potter traps too.
