Arlington Reservoir

A morning stroll around the res was very pleasent. Lots of Chiffchaffs in song now and the sun really had some warmth with it once it had burnt through the cloud layer. In terms of birds I had two new year ticks in Sand Martin (Riparia riparia) and House Martin (Delichon urbica). White Wagtail (Motacilla alba) present along the dam wall. Also Swallows zipping over the water surface.

Also a few butterflies on show including: Red Admiral, Brimstone, Peacock (see pics) and Comma's.
